Whooooaaaa!!!

First off, I’ve no problems with healthy, relevant debate on the blog. Maybe I should open up a new post about this subject?

Reading the points of all comments raised on this post I can see all sides (I’m not just sitting on the fence).

Personally I’m not into all that peril stuff, but that’s not to say that it shouldn’t be produced because clearly people are into that sort of thing. Not my thing, but its a lot of other peoples thing.

I guess its the same as walking into the men’s locker room and telling everyone you’re into girls that wear spandex costumes, can lift cars, and deserve to be worshipped.

To me it’s the same difference, and I like the healthy debate! Keep it up!

Yes, I’ve seen the clip, which is what SGGuy said: “a clip from a MOVIE”. It’s not for everyone obviously (I don’t like foreign films), but I think its pretty two-faced to declare this as “filthy, foul, sick…” in numerous posts (incl the video page itself) when you’re tastes for superheroine “soft-porn” (let us call it like we see it) are pretty obvious. This is sick because you drew “your line in the fetish sandbox” sooner than others did?

You are married and, I take it, you and your wife are not into this type of things. Well, others are into this as well as many other more freaky kinds of shit. Get off your self-righteous soap box!

This wasn’t like BUFFY, where we’re rooting for the heroine when she’s in danger (That MAY be the case in ASTRO GIRL, although I can’t tell for sure fromthe trailer) — it was just pummel, pummel, stomp, stomp.

By the way, I’m happily married to a wonderful woman. I feel very lucky to have her.

Brantley, nobody said anything about wanting to “bring her down.” This is a MOVIE last time I checked, not something anyone wants to do himself. Just because some people enjoy the drama, etc. of some peril, doesn’t mean it is something they want to do for themselves for real. I like gangster movies, but have zero desire to live that life myself. Although I don’t ‘get’ the hardcore stuff myself, it’s not my place to judge someone else’s fetish over something imaginary.

For a group of people that have a dare-I-say ‘closet fetish’ of your own, it’s certainly humorous to hear some you with your “holier than thou” routine! Pathetic losers? Speak for yourself with that stupid “honor her in bed” quote!

If you don’t like what’s on the channel, turn it off! Before you go around stumbling onto fetishes you don’t like (or understand) and then blasting them openly, perhaps you should maybe take a poll on the street and see how many close-minded people think how stupid/sick your superheroine fetish here is (BTW, I’m NOT one of them and I like this site).

Oh, for God’s sake. “Honor her in bed”? That’s as aggressively lame as the peril-filled clip. A middle ground might be a bit more suiting. Somewhere between the peril and the harp-strumming, hey-girls-email-me tone of righteous fury. Muzzle the indignation. It’s as overwrought as the peril, and just as unappealing.

though this superheroine of theres has a bit more “powerfulness” than there others, the people who make these movies are really into peril. really terrible stuff. (ive seen a lot of trailers). probably most of the best stuff is probably in the trailer.

And STEEL ANGEL, from another clip posted at YouTube, looks even worse — about 20 seconds of super stuff and eight minutes of torture.

There was a crotch shot in that one, which makes it obvious that Peril fans are getting off on this sort of thing.

These guys must be pathetic losers. A REAL man isn’t afraid of a real woman; he doesn’t want to bring her down — he wants to honor her in bed.
